Investing in Communities, Transforming Lives

Connecting leaders working to improve health and well-being in low-income communities.

The Build Healthy Places Network is a national initiative which is fostering collaboration between the community development and health sectors to advance health equity.

Supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and a partner of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and program of the Public Institute, the Network was established in recognition that collaboration between these sectors is critical to building a national Culture of Health. It is working to expand understanding of the similarities between the root causes of poverty and poor health, and develop tools to assist leaders and practitioners who are helping create communities where all people have the opportunity to live healthy and rewarding lives.
